Stampers Club for November

Well, my stampers club groups met this week on Tuesday and Wednesday for our meetings. Unfortunately, we had a couple people missing from our usual groups. The flu has hit and it seems that everyone has someone in their family or a coworker that has it. Allyson and Gloria we missed you! Hope you are on the mend :o)

Here is one of the cards we made this week. The technique is called, "Faux Joseph's Coat" and is really great to do with any of our Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. This paper is called "Autumn Meadows" and the colors are really beautiful! I used the Stampin' Up! Autumn Splendore Stamp set and inked up the maple leaf stamp from the set with versamark ink and stamped it repeatedly over the Autumn Meadows paper. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder. Once that was done, I brayered over the entire piece with Chocolate Chip Classic ink. The embossing resists the ink and allows the beautiful colors and pattern to show through! I also used some Dusty Durango dotted ribbon on this card as well as the acorn image from the stamp set "The More the Merrier" that is a Level 3 hostess set. Hope this inspires you to try this fun and easy technique--Happy Stamping!
